Liz Shaw 
Membership Director

Liz Shaw joined the Oronoque Country Club Management Team back in 2005 as the club's Catering Director. Prior to joining the Oronoque Management Team, Ms. Shaw was the Banquet Sales Manager for 10 years at the Spinning Wheel Inn located in Redding CT.   Ms. Shaw was looking for a new challenge and was offered the position of Membership Director back in 2014. Ms. Shaw was excited for the opportunity and up for the challenge to grow the “Oronoque Membership Family”. Ms. Shaw and the Management Team’s recent project involved a membership program that would help grow our Junior Membership, which has been a huge success. When Ms. Shaw is not assisting to members she loves spending time with her family, going to the beach and to get through the winters skiing with friends and family!

Esteban Sequera
Banquet and Restaurant Manager

Esteban joined the Oronoque Country Club as a Banquet and Restaurant Manager in 2011. He has over 9 years of experience working in Food and Beverages. Esteban and his team pride themselves on providing exceptional service and exceeding our clients’ expectations.
Esteban resides in Milford, CT with his wife and two children. From the young age he enjoys cycling, and participates in many international cycling events. He has recently joined a CVC Capital Velo Club in Hartford.

Shelley Caccavale
Club Accountant

Shelley has been a Club Accountant at the Oronoque Country Club since 1996, she originally joined our company when it was managed under Arnold Palmer Golf Management.
In 1998 Shelley continued her career as a Club Accountant at Traditional Golf Properties Management Group, and was promoted to Director of Operations. In 2007 Shelley returned to the Oronoque Country Club as a Club Accountant and Controller. Shelley loves spending time with her family and travel.

Nels Nelson
Director of Sales and Catering

Nels Nelson is a customer service based professional with over 23 years in the hospitality industry. Mr. Nelson is well respected in the hospitality community as a leader with a proven track record with excelling in customer service, menu planning and event execution. From 2007 to 2015 he worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts leading his team in several customer service based awards. Throughout his career Mr. Nelson has always focused on the latest food & beverage trends which brings excitement to his team & cliental. Mr. Nelson has traveled all over the Northeast from Maine to New York assisting Hotels & Catering facilities with training, menu development & presentation. Along with his passion for food & beverage, Nels’ passions are his beautiful family, gardening and fishing.

Thomas Kelly
Executive Chef

Thomas Kelly is no stranger to the kitchen, having spent 19 years as a Chef, where he has grown to be a respected name in the industry. Mr. Kelly has more than 15 years of culinary experience in both the hands on and financial aspects. Starting his journey to Oronoque, Mr. Kelly spent 2 year studying at Johnson & Wales University where he achieved his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Before joining CBIGG in 2015, Mr. Kelly worked for 17 years for a diverse range of organizations, including Walt Disney World, Arnold Palmer Golf Management and Century Golf Management. In this role as Executive Chef, Mr. Kelly is responsible for menus, food quality and all aspects of the culinary experience.


Greg Lauzier
General Manager

Greg has over 16 years of experience in the golf industry and has worked and taught at several clubs including Hawk’s Landing Golf Club.  This is Greg’s return season as the General Manager after transferring to Houston, TX with CBIGG Management to assist with turning around golf operations.  Before Greg joined the team at Oronoque, he was the Head Golf Professional in 2009 through 2012 at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, MA.  Before Orchards, Greg was the Lead Teaching Professional at numerous golf academies over a six year period in Orlando, FL. Greg oversees the entire golf operation at Oronoque Country Club including the Clubhouse, Golf Shop, Outside Operations, F&B and Maintenance of the entire facility.
